Our Streambit Primary School’s students follow the Palestinian National Curriculum in the following subjects:
Sports
Arts (Dance, Painting, photography, graphic design etc…)
Community Service etc…..)
There are different types of books in our school library. These books are costly and the students get the opportunity to read such rich treasures of wisdom. Students can consult various books and make academic notes. In this way, they can prepare themselves for examination.
Students can use reference books such as dictionaries, encyclopedia, etc. to complete their project work. Students can enhance their knowledge by going through the books of knowledge. Students can learn about moral and virtues by reading the best stories of the world.
It is imperative for schools to have the latest and high quality science lab supplies these days. Science is different from any other subject. In order to understand its concepts, one has to look beyond the books and conventional classroom teaching. Effective teaching and learning of science involves seeing, handling, and manipulating real objects and materials. The knowledge that kids attain in classrooms would be ineffectual unless they actually observe the process and understand the relationship between action and reaction.
Effective teaching and learning of science involves a perpetual state of show and tell. Good schools combine classroom teaching with laboratory experiments to ensure that their students grasp each and every concept thoroughly. It is also believed that laboratory teaching and experiments that are being conducted there help encourage deep understanding in children. Children are able to retain the knowledge for longer when they see the experiments being performed in front of their eyes.
Science lab equipment allows students to interact directly with the data gathered. They get a first-hand learning experience by performing various experiments on their own. Students are made to use the models and understand different scientific theories and concepts. It is also found that school science lab equipment and supplies make teaching and learning easy both for the teachers, as well as for the students. There are several scientific theories and concepts that are difficult to explain directly from the books. Anatomy models, physics science kits, and chemistry science kits for instance make it easy to understand the otherwise complex theories of science.
Our Streambit School provide a well-equipped science laboratory , where students can make scientific experiments easily.
Computers are used in almost every walk of life. Actually we live in a time where everything is largely dependent on the use of the computers. They have a wide variety of applications in science, education, defense, business and many other sectors.
Computer education in school helps the children to get access to the extensive world of information. Students can find any information that they desire with the help of a computer. Almost every school nowadays has a computer lab of their own. Such labs are quite imperative in educating the children about the wise and efficient use of the computer.
Students in our Streambit Primary School can learn to make various subject related researches using the computer; also they can use it to make various projects in school. Likewise our school also has a very high facility computer lab. our school computer lab has a great many utilities which help us in understanding the various aspects of the subject.
The new Palestinian curriculum, which includes new textbooks for grades 1–4, is
significantly more radical than previous curricula. The curriculum teaches students to be martyrs, demonizes and
denies the existence of Israel and focuses on a “return” to an exclusively Palestinian
homeland.
Within the pages of the textbooks children are taught to be expendable. Messages
such as: “the volcano of my revenge”; “the longing of my blood for my land”; and “I
shall sacrifice my blood to saturate the land” suffuse the curriculum. Math books use
numbers of dead martyrs to teach arithmetic. The vision of an Arab Palestine
includes the entirety of what is now Israel, defined as the “1948 Occupied
Territories.”
The curriculum teaches that national institutions and authorities should be respected
and encourages personal success. Still, while Islam is not used as a radical political
tool for this age group, negative messages linger regarding non-Muslims. And though
Christian education is provided, Jewish roots are ignored. This new curriculum
appears to be a departure from the Canaanite roots narrative of past curricula, but
Arabs continue to be presented as original dwellers of the land. Palestinian identity,
as conveyed to these children, is now more realistically based on LevantinePalestinian
folklore alongside Arabism, Islam, and the struggle against Israel.
